Let’s Grow Together! About Our Culture and Your Future Workplace:

“Culture” Is a Buzzword That Is Tossed Around Nowadays.

After spending any time with us, you will quickly learn this isn’t just something we say; it’s something we live out. We aren’t perfect and don’t pretend to be; however, we work hard at maintaining a healthy work environment that fosters growth, grace, and support.

“Growing Things Change and Changing Things Grow” Is Common at Swann.

We are constantly helping our team members to make positive improvements to better their lives at work and home through personal/professional growth plans. These changes aren’t always easy, but the rewards are worth the effort! Let’s grow together!

We take great pride in being locally owned and operated, as it allows us flexibility in how we treat and care for our clients, patients, and team.

Administrative Support: Our administrative team practices a servant-leadership mindset. We know providing you with the best possible team, tools, medicine, and workplace will make performing your job easier. From C-Level to clinic administrators, we have incredible people passionate about leading their teams to success.

Nursing Team: Our veterinary technicians and assistants are the grease that helps move the day-to-day machine. Our support staff goes through a leveled training program to teach them more than basic veterinary skills. They learn system operations, client communications, our standards of excellence, technical skills, surgical and anesthesia assistance, and so much more. They are here to help meet your needs and help you succeed in every case you manage.

Communications Team: You won’t see them on the floor, but you’ll hear them when you call or text to refill a prescription or need a copy of vaccines. This magic group is behind the scenes intercepting calls before they reach our reception desk or treatment area, refilling prescriptions, coordinating your schedule, and more. They’ve got your back and are there to make your day better.

Swann Animal Clinic is an AAHA accredited, privately owned/operated general and urgent care practice group in Amarillo, Texas. Since 2008, we have grown from a one-doctor practice to a 15-doctor group in 4 locations. We currently operate four general practices and an urgent care service.

All locations are currently in Amarillo and Bushland, TX. We aim to keep our doctors at one preferred location. It’s better for you and our clients. If another of your teammates is on vacation, away for CE, etc., we may ask if you’ll spend the day at our sister practice.

No matter which of our locations you work at, you’ll use the same database and access the same medication, tools, and staff you would at your regular practice. Our nursing team rotates through locations if not assigned to a specific doctor, and our administrative team rotates locations to help fill in as well, “teamwork makes the dream work.”
If you’re getting here “by morning” (or night), we’re a friendly Texas community. We are a medium-sized city with excellent outdoor entertainment and one of the highest restaurants per capita in the US. It’s a foodie’s dream with every cuisine imaginable. The fun doesn’t stop there. We have an excellent school system, many events, and activities to do year-round, and some of the most beautiful sunsets you will ever see.
  • Hiking, Rock Climbing, Trail Riding, Moutain Biking, in Palo Duro Canyon and/or Red River
  • Boating, Fishing, and Lake activities at Lake Meredith (45 minutes north) or Lake Tanglewood (25 minutes southeast)
  • Concerts of all varieties, though Country, Rock, and Pop, are most common.
  • Orchestra, Symphony, Theatre, and other shows year-round
  • Minor League Professional Baseball, Hockey, and Football Team
  • Spring and Summer farmers markets, outdoor parades, fairs, and tradeshows
  • High school and College Sports (8 local high schools)
  • Local higher education: West Texas A&M University, Texas Tech University, and Amarillo Community College
  • Wine, Beer, and Meaderys throughout the area
  • And we can’t forget rodeos and ranching events, Cadillac Ranch, and Route 66.

There are tons of ways to get plugged into Amarillo, TX. The above activities are a great start, but churches and other faith and religious centers are other great options.

We host over thirty gyms with different focuses, including cross-fit, bodybuilding, swimming, sports, yoga, etc. We also have an immense love for coffee and sweet treats; there is a coffee shop or place to grab a delicious bite to eat on what feels like every corner.
