45th Location Doctors:

DR. BEAU SCHILLING
Dr. Beau Schilling works in our 45th location. He joined Swann Animal Clinic in 2014. He received his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M, Master of Science from New Mexico State, and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M. Dr. Schilling’s main areas of interest are veterinary dermatology and orthopedics. While not in the clinic, Dr.Schilling enjoys Michigan sports and the outdoors with his family and pets. Dr.Schilling’s favorite part of veterinary medicine is making a difference in the lives of people by caring for their pets.

DR. BRITTANY ELLERSICK
Dr. Brittany Ellersick works out of the 45th location. She was born and raised outside Chicago, Illinois. She obtained her bachelor’s in animal science at West Texas A&M University in 2015 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Midwestern University in 2019. Her professional interests include dentistry, wound management, neurology, and ophthalmology. She believes being a veterinarian allows her to make a difference in the lives of others daily.
Her favorite pastimes include CrossFit, competitive bowling, hiking, cooking, and traveling with her family and friends. She is happily married to her husband Eric, and together they have three furry family members: an Australian Shepherd/Heeler mix (Gunner), a Toy Australian Shepherd (Lacey), and a Tortoiseshell/Calico kitty (Paisley). Dr. Ellersick is blessed to be in the Lone Star state, and looks forward to serving the community she excitedly calls home!

Dr. Stephanie Hill
Dr. Stephanie Hill is a native Texan. She grew up in San Antonio, Texas, but has Texas Panhandle roots. She has family in a little town west of Amarillo and obtained her bachelor’s degree in agriculture/animal science at West Texas A&M University in 2016. Dr. Hill completed veterinary school at Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Science in 2021, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Stephanie is excited to join the Swann Animal Clinic team again. She may look familiar, as she was a technician at Swann Animal Clinic during her undergraduate studies. Stephanie has professional interests in surgery and neurology and especially enjoys feline medicine and behavior.
Dr. Hill’s family includes her caring husband Daniel, majestic kitty cat, Koji, energetic puppy dog, Corona, and calming goldfish, Loki. Personally, Stephanie loves reading, singing, dancing, basketball, and baking. She is looking forward to caring for patients and exceeding client expectations.

Dr. Allie Hughey
Dr. Allie Hughey was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She received her Bachelor’s in Animal Science in 2018 and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2023 from Texas A&M University. Her main areas of interest include dermatology, surgery, and neurology.
Dr. Hughey moved to Amarillo with her fiancé, Ryan, who is attending Texas Tech’s vet school. Together they have a Catahoula mix, Mack, and a Labrador Retriever, Goose. During her free time, she enjoys cooking, gardening, all things outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. Although far from her hometown, Dr. Hughey is excited to be in the panhandle and serve the Amarillo community!
Hillside Location Doctors:

Dr. Jenna Barber
Dr. Jenna Barber works in our Hillside location. She was born and raised in a small farming community in northeast Iowa. She attended the University of Northern Iowa, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. Dr. Barber attended veterinary school at Iowa State University and received a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Iowa. Soon after graduation, Dr. Barber moved to the Amarillo area after meeting her husband, Justin, a Texas Panhandle native.
When not at the clinic, Dr. Barber can be found chasing her daughters, Henley and Beckett (identical twins), and her dog, Millie. In her “spare time,” Dr. Barber enjoys helping Justin on the ranch, running, and watching Iowa State Cyclone sports. She looks forward to serving you and your pet.

Dr. Katrina Troppy
Dr. Katrina Troppy works out of both our 45th & Hillside locations and joined our practice in July of 2020. Dr. Troppy is originally from McAllen, TX, and spent most of her childhood on a farm in Raymondville, TX. At a young age, she discovered her love for animals and knew she wanted to become a veterinarian. Dr. Troppy graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelors’s in Animal Science and a Minor in Agricultural Economics from Kansas State University in 2012. In 2019 she obtained her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University and started as a veterinarian in a mixed animal practice in the Dallas-Fortworth Metroplex. Dr. Troppy’s veterinary interests include dermatology, internal medicine, dentistry, and parasitology. When not in the clinic, she enjoys being outdoors, trying new baking recipes, bird watching, and spending time with her very social rat terrier mix (Domino). Dr. Troppy is thrilled to be a part of an AAHA Accredited hospital practicing best medicine.

Dr. Shawn Kinser
Dr. Shawn Kinser works in our Hillside and Plum Creek location. He joined Swann Animal Clinic in July 2016. Dr. Kinser graduated from Boswell High School in Oklahoma. He attended Oklahoma State University and earned a bachelor’s in animal science degree in 2011. He remained in Stillwater, OK, and attended veterinary school at OSU College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2015. Upon graduation, he and his wife, Rachel, moved back to her hometown of Amarillo. She is a fellow OSU CVM graduate and practices in Amarillo as well. Dr.Kinser has particular interests in surgery, cardiology, and parasitology.
Shawn and Rachel have two daughters, Avery and Madelyn. They share their home with Zoey (Australian Shepherd), Max (English Pointer), and Tiko (Corn snake). Dr. Kinser enjoys hiking, reading, spending time with family, and watching sports. He is a lifelong fan of all OSU Cowboy athletics. Go Pokes! Dr. Kinser is passionate about maximizing the health and wellness of your pets and looks forward to serving your family.
Plum Creek Location Doctors:

Dr. Chelsea Friemel
Dr. Friemel and her husband Brett enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling to new places, and all things outdoors, especially when working on the farm. Together they take care of their herd of pets, including an Australian Shepherd (Chance), a Goldendoodle (Lottie), two horses (Remi and Renada), a cow (Reba), and a donkey (Carl). Dr. Friemel looks forward to serving the Amarillo community, building relationships with clients, and caring for the pets they call family.

DR. CHARITY SCROGGS
Dr. Charity Scroggs grew up in Bryan-College Station, Texas. She grew up surrounded by everything from dogs and cats to birds and livestock, hence she developed a heart for animals at a very young age. At four years old, she decided to become a veterinarian and never looked back! She attended West Texas A&M University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in animal science in 2014 and fell in love with the Amarillo-Canyon area before returning home to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University in May 2021.
Whenever she’s not in the clinic, Charity enjoys singing, sketching, and taking on way too many DIY crafting projects. She also enjoys spending time at home with her husband and their many pets, including a truly perfect dog named Leo, and a cantankerous cat named Dexter. She is very excited to be returning to the Texas Panhandle and looks forward to reconnecting with this wonderful community!
Bushland Location Doctors:

Dr. Robin Carlson, DVM
Dr. Robin Carlson works at our Bushland location. With a background in NICU nursing, Dr. Carlson decided to return to school and pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine. She obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Oregon State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. She and her husband Steve, also a veterinarian, have worked or operated businesses in a variety of industries within veterinary medicine from equine and small animal surgery, to bovine emergency medicine, embryo transfer, and dairy operations. In 2009 the pair sold the dairy and moved home to Texas.
In 2013, the Carlosons founded Bushland Small Animal Veterinary Clinic and in 2017 relocated it to its current location. In 2023 Dr. Carlson accepted a coveted position at Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine as the Surgical Clinic Professor.
With a career and a heart full of pouring into people, Dr. Carlson spends the majority of her week with students and works shifts as needed within our practice. Beyond teaching, her outside interests include mission work, sewing, and painting, but her pride and joy is centered around her family.
She has a hard-working and caring husband, and two daughters ages 14 and 11. Her 14-year-old daughter has Rett Syndrome and is involved with a special foundation called “Pets for Retts” which was created to support research to find a cure for Rett Syndrome. She also has 4 dogs: Brutus, Ingrid, Debbie Harry, and Sidney, as well as two cats: Spud and Midnight.

Dr. Whitney Buntyn, DVM
Though originally from Lebanon, TN, Dr. Whitney Buntyn considers West Texas her second home. She is a proud WTAMU Buff alumni and former equestrian and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee. Upon completing veterinary school and searching for her purpose within animal care, she spent time in Mississippi State for an internship where she met her future husband, Joe.
She and Joe would move a few more times before settling in Amarillo. They spent time in Nebraska where Joe completed his PhD in Ruminant Nutrition, and a few years in Alberta Canada where their beautiful, feral children (both dual citizens) were born.
Joe would take a job with Friona Industries, bringing them back home to West Texas. While they miss the snowy mountains, and you might here that Canadian ‘eh’, Whitney and Joe are happy to be back in West Texas.
Urgent Care Providers:

Dr. Heritage Enevoldsen
Dr. Heritage Enevoldsen is one of our urgent care providers. She was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas. She had always dreamed of finding a job that would allow her to minister to and bless people but also involve her love for animals, so being a veterinarian was just the right fit! She received her bachelor of science from Texas A&M University before graduating from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2017. Her goal was always to come back and serve the people of the Texas Panhandle. Dr. Enevoldsen has a special interest in dermatology, surgery, and dentistry, as well as client education.
When she isn’t working at the clinic, Dr. Enevoldsen loves spending time with her son, daughter, and husband, reading, and anything to do with the Fighting Texas Aggies. She is also a dog mom to her pets, Mark & ‘Nilla.

Dr. Kellie Dodson
Dr. Kellie Dodson is one of our urgent care providers. She joined Swann Animal Clinic on July 28, 2014. She practiced in Odessa, Texas for three years prior to moving to Amarillo. Kellie is a native West Texan who grew up in Snyder, Texas, and graduated from Snyder High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science and graduated with honors from Tarleton State University. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated Cum Laude.
Kellie truly loves being a general practitioner (she finds most aspects of veterinary medicine fun and interesting) but has special interests in internal medicine, dentistry, and ophthalmology. She has an affinity for dachshunds and has two long-haired dachshunds named Tucker and Henry. She also has two feisty cats named Steven and Edith. She enjoys church, gardening, and sewing.

Dr. Seth Solomon
Dr. Seth Solomon is one of our urgent care providers. He was raised in the western Texas Panhandle before attending Texas A&M University. While there he completed a Master of Business Administration in 2006 and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Following graduation, he and his wife, Lindsay, returned to the Amarillo area and have enjoyed the quality of life that Amarillo has to offer. He has two beautiful daughters, Paige and Brynn.
Dr. Solomon and his wife are active members at Hillside Christian Church and enjoy any opportunity to spend time with family and friends. His professional interests include soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, pain management, and emergency medicine.
Specialists:
Swann Animal Clinic proudly hosts Dr. Jeremiah Moorer, a board-certified veterinary surgeon, and Dr. Kirk Sears, an internal medicine specialist. These doctors travel to the Amarillo area and perform specialized procedures for your pets. Learn more about them:

Dr. Jeremiah D. Moorer, DVM, Diplomate ACVS
Dr. Moorer grew up in South Georgia and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia in 2008. He completed a 1-year rotating internship at Texas A&M University after graduation. He then spent one year at the Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center as a surgical intern before obtaining a residency in small animal surgery at Oklahoma State University. He completed the 3-year residency at Oklahoma State University in 2013 and then stayed on as faculty for the following year. During that time, he also passed the ACVS certification examination in 2014 to become board-certified in small animal surgery. After leaving OSU, Dr. Moorer spent three years in San Antonio in a multi-specialty hospital performing soft tissue, orthopedic, and neurologic surgeries. Dr. Moorer has been in Colorado since 2017 and started Trek Veterinary Surgery in 2019. In his spare time, Dr. Moorer enjoys spending time with his wife and son, hiking, camping, hunting, and training for triathlons.

Dr. Kirk Sears, DVM, DACVIM
Dr. Sears is a small animal internal medicine specialist that provides specialty diagnostics and consultation for patients upon his colleagues’ request. He received his doctorate from the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and subsequently became board-certified in small animal internal medicine after completing a 3-year residency at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. As a native Texan born in Amarillo and raised in Lubbock, he is the only full-time veterinary specialist in the Panhandle and West Texas regions. He and his wife are the founders and owners of West Texas Veterinary Specialists (txvetspecialty.com). When not working, they enjoy chasing their three sons around and attempting to steward this life with which they have been graciously blessed.
