Dr. Shawn Kinser

Dr. Shawn Kinser works in our Hillside and Plum Creek location. He joined Swann Animal Clinic in July 2016. Dr. Kinser graduated from Boswell High School in Oklahoma. He attended Oklahoma State University and earned a bachelor’s in animal science degree in 2011. He remained in Stillwater, OK, and attended veterinary school at OSU College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2015. Upon graduation, he and his wife, Rachel, moved back to her hometown of Amarillo. She is a fellow OSU CVM graduate and practices in Amarillo as well. Dr.Kinser has particular interests in surgery, cardiology, and parasitology.

Shawn and Rachel have two daughters, Avery and Madelyn. They share their home with Zoey (Australian Shepherd), Max (English Pointer), and Tiko (Corn snake). Dr. Kinser enjoys hiking, reading, spending time with family, and watching sports. He is a lifelong fan of all OSU Cowboy athletics. Go Pokes!
