Dr. Kinser's Bio
Dr. Shawn Kinser works in our Hillside location. He joined Swann Animal Clinic in July 2016. Dr. Kinser was raised in southeastern Oklahoma and graduated from Boswell High School. He attended Oklahoma State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in animal science in 2011. He attended veterinary school at Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences and graduated in 2015. Upon graduation, he and his wife, Rachel, moved back to her hometown of Amarillo. She is a fellow OSU CVHS graduate and practices in Amarillo as well. Dr. Kinser enjoys hiking, reading, spending with family, and watching sports. He is a lifelong fan of all OSU Cowboy athletics. Go Pokes! He has particular interests in surgery, cardiology, and parasitology. Shawn and Rachel have a daughter, Avery. They share their home with Zoey (Australian Shepherd), Max (English Pointer), and Tiko (corn snake). Dr. Kinser is passionate about maximizing the health and wellness of your pets and looks forward to serving your family.
Dr. Nazworth's Bio
Dr. Meg Nazworth works in our Hillside location. She grew up here in Amarillo and graduated from Tascosa High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in animal science from Texas Tech University and earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Nazworth enjoys building relationships with her clients while caring for their pets and has particular interests in ophthalmology, dermatology, and dentistry. Dr. Nazworth loves spending time with her family and friends, painting, cooking, and learning about languages. She has two pets: Kona, a sensitive Pit Bull mix with knobby eyebrows and an old soul, and Marie, a spirited Calico cat who keeps Kona in check when she’s not playing fetch.
Dr. Troppy's Bio
Dr. Katrina Troppy works out of both our 45th & Hillside locations and joined our practice in July of 2020. Dr. Troppy is originally from McAllen, TX, and spent most of her childhood on a farm in Raymondville, TX. At a young age, she discovered her love for animals and knew she wanted to become a veterinarian. Dr. Troppy graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelors’s in Animal Science and a Minor in Agricultural Economics from Kansas State University in 2012. In 2019 she obtained her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University and started as a veterinarian in a mixed animal practice in the Dallas-Fortworth Metroplex. Dr. Troppy’s veterinary interests include dermatology, internal medicine, dentistry, and parasitology. When not in the clinic, she enjoys being outdoors, trying new baking recipes, bird watching, and spending time with her very social rat terrier mix (Domino). Dr. Troppy is thrilled to be a part of an AAHA Accredited hospital practicing best medicine.
