Dr. Rachel Lurvey

Dr. Lurvey's Bio

Dr. Rachel Lurvey works in our 45th location. She was born and raised in Flower Mound, Texas. She attended Oklahoma State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in animal science in 2016 and continued in Stillwater to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in May 2020. Dr. Lurvey’s veterinary interests include feline medicine and care, soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, and internal medicine.

Whenever she’s not in the clinic she enjoys traveling to visit her two sisters in Austin and Denver, running, reading, and watching Netflix with her two cats, Marty (the most handsome tuxedo cat) and Lenny (the silliest orange tabby). She is thrilled to be coming back to the Lone Star State and is excited to get to know the great people of Amarillo and their furry family members and getting involved in the community. Go Pokes!

Dr. Beau Schilling

Dr. Schilling's Bio

Dr. Beau Schilling works in our 45th location. He joined Swann Animal Clinic in 2014. He received his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M, a Master of Science from New Mexico State, and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M. Dr. Beau grew up on a family farm and ranch in south Texas near the town of George West. He is a lifelong San Antonio Spurs fan. During his graduate fellowship, he became a fan of Michigan State football, basketball, and hockey. He and his wife, Dr. Bethany Schilling, love the great outdoors. They have three young children, one dog, and one cat. Dr. Beau loves making a difference in the lives of people caring for their pets.

Dr. Brittany Ellersick

Dr. Ellersick's Bio

Dr. Brittany Ellersick works out of 45th location. She was born and raised outside of Chicago, Illinois. A collegiate bowling scholarship gave her the opportunity to embark on a new journey to Texas. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in animal science at West Texas A&M University in 2015 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Midwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2019. For some, Dr. Ellersick may look familiar, as she formerly worked at Swann Animal Clinic as a technician. She is very excited to be joining the team once again as a veterinarian.

Dr. Ellersick’s professional interests include dentistry, ophthalmology, and neurology. She also enjoys traveling, hiking, cooking, and watching Netflix, which she enjoys with a cup of coffee and her two pets, Gunner, an Australian shepherd/heeler mix, and Paisley, a tortie calico kitty. Dr. Ellersick is blessed to be in the Lone Star State and looks forward to serving the community she now excitedly calls home.

Dr. Katrina Troppy

Dr. Troppy's Bio

Dr. Katrina Troppy works out of both our 45th & Hillside locations and joined our practice in July of 2020. Dr. Troppy is originally from McAllen, TX, and spent most of her childhood on a farm in Raymondville, TX. At a young age, she discovered her love for animals and knew she wanted to become a veterinarian. Dr. Troppy graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelors’s in Animal Science and a Minor in Agricultural Economics from Kansas State University in 2012. In 2019 she obtained her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University and started as a veterinarian in a mixed animal practice in the Dallas-Fortworth Metroplex. Dr. Troppy’s veterinary interests include dermatology, internal medicine, dentistry, and parasitology. When not in the clinic, she enjoys being outdoors, trying new baking recipes, bird watching, and spending time with her very social rat terrier mix (Domino). Dr. Troppy is thrilled to be a part of an AAHA Accredited hospital practicing best medicine.
